The LCL framework for Digital learning is focused on motivation. The method adds context to digital content and make it purposeful.
Digital learning is wonderful as it provides autonomy – of time and place – to the learners. But it also leaves a lot of people behind and create an even-wider education divide.
The LCL framework, by focusing on relevance (answering the what’s-in-it-for-me question), by contextualising it to real-life experience and by providing a sense of mastery through continuous feedback, aims to make it everyone.
Delivered through Alfinet, this is the Relevance Engine that takes digital learning beyind passive consumption of content.
We aim to enable a sense of relevance for each learner by contextualising the content and activities and making these meaningful to them. This customisation is driven by the learner's commitment to personal and professional growth through our Personal Growth System (PGS).
At the same, we recognise all learning is social and the socialisation is facilitated through peer-to-peer support mechanism: learners share their progress, demonstrate their learning, and actively contribute to a vibrant community. The collaborative community supports individual understanding.
Each learning activity earns experience points (XPs) and micro-feedback is received all through the journey. Upon completion of goals, learners receive a certificate, further validating their achievements.
At the same time, Connect functionality enables learners to engage with a broader network through Alfinet where they can interact with employers, recruiters, and innovators leading the digital transformation of businesses and communities.
Participants gain access to a comprehensive catalogue of events, allowing them to register for sessions that align with their interests and career goals.
Learners form teams with others pursuing the same topic, enabling peer review of submissions and voting on responses to discussion questions. The peer-to-peer support not only strengthens individual learning but also embeds what is learnt in its social context.
The learning, however, is never complete until the learner helps someone else. The Lead functionality focuses on developing leadership skills by empowering learners to help others grow.
As learners accumulate points and rise on the leaderboard, they will be invited to participate in an exclusive Mentorship programme run by e1133 coaches.
This Programme includes weekly group sessions, self-guided study, and hands-on activities, all designed to nurture leadership abilities.
Upon completing the Programme, participants will be certified as mentors, enabling them to lead their own Member Mentor sessions within the platform.
This approach not only solidifies their role as leaders but also allows them to give back to the community by fostering the growth of future leaders.
